My daughter Erin, and I got to meet and speak with Iliya Fridman, Founder & Karlyn Benson, Director (Beacon) and had a special treat to speak and ask questions and learn first hand, about her art; Artist "Wura-Natasha Ogunji": "My drawings and stitchings on tracing paper, videos and public performances are deeply inspired by interactions that occur in the city of Lagos, Nigeria". "My performances explore the presence of women in public space, often at the intersection of labor, leisure, freedom and frivolity".
It was such a pleasure meeting the llIya Fridman, and the Artist "Wura-Natasha Ogunji":
come see this wonderful art!
On display till June 27th!
